Now THAT'S freaky. This is happening to my little sister, who is 8 years old and in the 2nd grade currently. (she got held back in kindergarten). For Christmas she wants an iPod touch, because when I let her use mine one time, she could not let go of it. She also wants a laptop as well. She told me one time that 50% of her 2nd grade class has a cellphone (not sure if they're the kids-version or the iPhone version
) It's crazy to see that kids these days are in love with today's available technology (iPads, video games such as the Wii or Xbox, etc). What worries me is their responsibility. How are they able to take care of those fragile things? My sister broke her Nintendo DS Lite, and it hasn't been a year since my mother spent a fortune on it.
In my childhood, it was all about Barbies, Hot Wheels, reading awesome books, and board games. All those amazing things we had in the past will start to slowly disappear soon thanks to technology.
