Thanks guys for your advice and support. I needed a little lift there. Mike, I'm glad that counseling worked out for you, and I hope I'll have the same benefit. Zach, I might try that music idea. There's a lot of TWC songs that I have on my iPod that might diverge my attention from my emotional distractions. If the counseling improves my situation, I'll probably stay in school. If not, I'll most likely take the year off so I can have another year to emotionally recover. Hopefully, I'll be more accepting of the loss a year from now if I choose to take this year off.

so this morning i was sleeping until about 9am when I started to hear what was rain outside, it was coming down hard and I said....cool, we need it, no big deal. lol well, about 15 minutes later I started hearing the nasty thunderstorms that aren't the normal "boom", i got up checked the NWS and TWC and confirmed that my area was under a Tornado Warning. about 3 minutes after that, ASU sent out an Alert to all it's students telling us to evacuate to the first floor of our hall immediately.

we also have tornado sirens, but it's become apparent that they have failed in the event of a serious situation...not sure how the city will handle that, but if you were watching TWC and saw San Angelo on the map, that's where I was.  :P

Hope you're alright, Al. Severe storms are pounding a lot of Texas today; Fort Worth is currently under a Tornado Warning until 1:30 pm.

If there was big destruction and the sirens failed, that would make national news. (If there was destruction).

There wasn't, it was a short-lived tornado and I live in the hill country...so there aren't many people that would be effected unless it hit ASU directly.

It rained here for the first time in 20 days.  Kind of a nice sight.  And speaking of Al's situation with tornadoes, there is a Tornado Watch out just southwest of my area.

Hopefully all midterms went well for everyone.  I had one last week, and have two more this week.  Hard to believe there is only half a semester left, which means I am a fourth closer to being out of community college :) haha, not that it's a bad thing.  In fact, I recommend it, especially for students who have no idea what they want to do with their life.
