This year sure has flown by fast.  It's about ready to be October now.  The holidays will be here before you know it!
Don't walk in to a Home Depot <_< It's already Christmas there, lol.

And Fall Semester is almost over...

Our ABC affiliate finally did an overhaul on their HD graphics, a slow 1 year transition. I knew they would be coming soon since the weather maps and forecast packages had upgraded back in July. Overall I think they're very neat!

WSB-TV Major HD Graphics Overhaul - 9-29-2010

Debut of new graphics on WSB-TV Atlanta - 09/28/2010

I think that station has the same announcer as the Fox O&O here in Detroit.

Dairy Queen has the Pumpkin Pie blizzard for this month only again.

Excuse me while I refill my freezer.

Yay! The Pot Belly Stove is open! I'm only a week and a half late, but I like the change--it means cooler weather.

It's gonna be downright cold all next week here. Mid 60's in the day and low to mid 40's at night.  :brr: :brr: :brr: :brr:

I thought this was an interesting article. The planet in the picture looks similar to Earth. It would be pretty cool if one day we found out that there were some kind of beings living on that planet.

Could 'Goldilocks' planet be just right for life?

Very possible. My ELA teacher believes it, too.

Can someone put some wood in the stove here?  It has become really cold in the East lately thanks to a new upper-level low that will camp out for the next few days.  There are a lot of frost advisories ahead. :brr:

It's been raining here since Saturday. Scattered thunderstorms rolled through the area. It caused a couple outages and even put us under some flood warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings. Tuesday's gonna be a repeat... how exciting, I'm gonna miss another week of softball because the field is too wet.

And sure. I'm about to head to 7-Eleven anyways. :P

Question:

Has anyone ever had a problem with their bank where you make a transaction using your checking account (debit card), and the day after you make the transaction the money is credited back to your checkings? (never charged for that particular transaction).

I seem to be having that issue with my bank and now it's causing a whole bunch of problems because I'm not sure if that money is still there, or if it has actually went through...I have bills to pay, and if I don't know how much i have left, i'm not sure how much of my bills I can pay. my method is to use online banking, that way I don't have to write down all my transactions in a check book. it looks like I may now have to use the checkbook method until I figure out what's going on.

I've called my bank and they basically told me that if the vendor attempted to pull the transaction once and failed to do so, they won't get the transaction money.

Sufficient funds were available at the time of the transactions, and these transactions took place over a week ago, which is more than enough time for it to process.

ohh I had a similar problem. I purchased a new bike the other week. After I made the purchase it was pending then the next day there was no trace of it. About a week later it appeared and my money was finally taken out.  I would just treat the money like it was gone.
