I took a grand total on one AP class in High School: AP U.S. Government as a senior. I didn't get college credit for it though, because I didn't score high enough on the AP test at the end of the year. :pinch:

AP courses benefit your transcript when you apply for colleges...
Yes but when you're like me and have learning disabilities, there's no way you can keep up with the pace. That's why there's community college when you're not ready to move to a four-year college.

I don't like that statement.  Community college is certainly NOT there for people who "aren't ready" to move on to a 4 year university.  I know PLENTLY of people who took AP classes in high school that are at a community college.  Everyone has their own reason for going to a community college.

For once, I actually agree with him. There are plenty reasons for going to community college... community college is for those who don't want to, can't afford to more away to school for their first year. Or for those who just want to save money by taking general classes at community college.

Well, I took the ACT today and it got done earlier than I thought it would. I do not test well... ACT, or a test of less significance.

Was it easy? Do you think you got a good score on it?

I would expect probably a 20 or so. The English and Math sections were nowhere near as brutal as I thought they would be, but the science and reading comprehension sections were moreso than even I had expected. As for the writing, I couldn't even think of enough to say to fill the first page. But thanks for asking :)

You can always take the ACT again if you want to improve your score.  Only your highest score on the ACT (and also true for the SAT) is what counts to a college that is looking over your application.

I know, but the ACT was included for free as a required part of the MME. I have better uses for $45, but I will consider that option if I don't like the scores I receive in about 2 months.

The most important part of your college application is not your ACT or SAT scores but rather your cumulative high school GPA.  Make sure that is going well first and foremost before worrying about your ACT or SAT scores.  Hope you did well though today!

I'm so glad I don't have to take either of those.
I'm going to a trade school that doesn't require any of that stuff.
And, I'm not stepping one foot into a university. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!!

Well, I plan to go to school to take up either Occupational Therapy Assistant or Massage Therapy.

The Zoning Hearing Board meeting that I wanted to attend tonight was canceled. "There are no cases to be heard." Apparently the Township hasn't had any Zoning Hearing Board meetings since last December (according to their website).

AP US was quite hard! Ive taken a total of 9 AP classes including this year. I took it because the courses interested me and it looked good for college. Those of you who don't test well actually wouldn't have it that bad. Testing isn't too large a part of your grade. Teachers work with the students too which is great.
