I know we're still on the subject of games here, but there have not been a lot of local forecast videos uploaded of the big storm. As much as I want to throw up right now, this is somewhat exciting to watch. Can you get some more videos up Billy and Mike?
Umm I uploaded 2 clips last night...

Speaking of the Winter Powerhouse it was a big waste. We barely got 10 inches up where I live  It's not even snowing and there's some sun showing up

I think it's safe to say Washington DC is gonna be the big winner out of this, but I'm judging some of this because of the live shots I've seen between Paul and Scott. It looks worse where Paul is than it does where Scott is.

I meant LFs with narration... plus the bulletins page doesn't show up on the DirecTV LF. Not that big of a deal, but I would like to see some more clips of this area.

I don't mean to bust in, but didn't you use to complain about how much you hated the IntelliSTAR and how stupid the narration was?

It really doesn't matter and I concur with Zach. My LF *still* shows the blizzard icon and the heavy snow forecasted. I would record an IS clip but I don't have the time or patience to go to Yvonne's and cablejack her box

Okay wow, I just went out to shovel off my deck (I'm not used to snow this season, so I've become lazy with shoveling). I left a pumpkin for decoration purposes on my deck a week or so before Halloween, and I was going to carve it around Halloween. But, I never got around to it and left it out there, all winter, and it's still there. When I went out my room door to my deck, I saw it and it was mushy-feeling, with what looks like fungus. Yuck!  :footinmouth:

Also, I noticed a stripe of what looks like extremely heavy snow movng through central Jersey on my sat/rad. It just went through Philadelphia a couple hours ago. I can't possibly imagine how heavy the snow is under that band...

Well, as of approximately 3:50 PM EST, my internet modem here is shot. I pressed the reset button on it like I always do when the internet is slow, and it stopped working. I called Comcast twice (the 1st time to have an automatic refresh signal sent) and scheduled a technician to come out and swap the old modem for a new one. Until then, unless I  go over to the church or use my mom's phone (like I am now), I won't be online nearly as much. Geesh, we've had that modem since we moved downtown in 2007. :pinch:

Modems are crappy pieces of tech. Most (from my experience) tend to die after several years if you are lucky. Actually read a study that shows the constant use and heat tends to significantly shorten the lifespan of most routers

Yeah, that makes sense. My router is always quite warm, but the modem is fine. My mom was never happy to have the entire set-up in my room- modem and router- next to my desktop computer. Just figures that all I have for 3 daze is occasional access to this crappy slow T1 over here at the church, which does not load videos well, my message section on youtube, or the flash-sucking channels.

No matter how you slice it, this is just ridiculous:

We've had our modem and router since 2003, and they've both been very reliable.

Yeah, it's like the guy on the phone told me today... you get the modem out of the box, it could only last a month. You get the modem out of the box, it could last a year. You get the modem out of the box, it could last 10 years.
Some are better than others, but it partially has to do with what you use them for and how you use them.

Wow, I'm a sucker for puns, lol :P
