I agree and disagree with what you said there, Kyle. I'm well aware that ranting and complaining about the changes NBC is making to TWC and all that will not change or solve anything. I still don't know how I still hate the new icons and HiRAD... I never look directly at the icons, and I just look past the HiRAD guesses. I get the CC info I need from the NWS Grand Rapids page.

I'll tell ya, it's amazing how I just about only watch TWC for the LFs... which is why I miss a lot of Steph's humor and humor seen elsewhere. Ordinarily, whatever TWC shows or does is their own business. But when you take out the LFs, you're crossing lines. I've shut out this whole Haiti concept because I'm tired of hearing about it. Maybe I would care if it wasn't shoved down my throat. I just today learned about how the earhtquake occurred, in Earth Science class. Supposedly it was an earthquake 150 years in the making... as the Carribean plate, while subducting, locked with the plate above it. It was bound to happen.

But the problem I have here is that it is all around me... school, what news I see on TV (before turning the channel), and it is all over the internet. Nearly impossible to shut it out completely, no matter how hard I try. If Haiti really has this many problems, something should have been done long before now... it shouldn't have needed a massive earthquake to get something done about it. It's irritating how the LF ends, and TWC opens directly to the issue with Haiti... so I am forced to watch it while I once again search for my remote. I would honestly love seeing a classic blizzard rite now... not just because I am desperate for snow, but to see how TWC manages both stories.

I hope everyone is doing alright with their exams this week.  I can tell that it's a busy time for most of you as things are really quiet here.
Thanks Patrick. I'm most concerned about Algebra and World History on Thursday... hoping I can get some studying in.

I hope so too.  I wish everyone luck on their midterms!
I have another huge history midterm this Thursday plus I have 8 more health tests to go through for the rest of Winter School. Speaking of Winter School, hard to believe there are 10 more days left.

I had the Health (sex ed) final today and I think I failed it, lol. It wasn't anything I was interested in anyway. I'm sure I still passed the course since I had A's for both marking periods. Can't wait to start phys ed again next week!!

It's more likely you'll land on a B, just a guess.

I had to take PE during second semester of my junior year...because I didn't take it sophomore year due health reasons. PE still counts as an elective course if you decide to take it again (depending on the school).

In other words, I hated PE with a passion, but it was an easy A though. :P

That's a plus side of PE. I always liked PE. I never understood why people hated it. My school also offers PE as an elective after school

Once again, you people are thinking like fans and not the average viewer. TWC wouldn't be doing these things if people weren't watching. Get over yourselves already and think once and awhile.

How many times have you had to say that, Tyler? :P I can think of several right now.

In Illinois, PE is required each semester you attend, in order to graduate.  Health is put in place of PE during 10th grade.

I'm sure many of you have me on AIM, who follow me on Twitter, and have me added on Facebook noticed that I put out a status that said I was losing interest in TWC. Well, I have many reasons for that: LF music is falling apart, I hardly post in the TWC sub-boards here, I now have friends at school, I work on other computer-related stuff, and of course: my deep interest in elevators.

I will still come here on a daily basis though, and hopefully in the future, my interest will rise again. :)

lol I'm taking a course called HOPE, which stands for Health Opportunities through Physical Education. It's required for freshman in my district, sadly. :hmm:

Sex ed in NJ is required to be taught to seniors only. Well at least that's how it's been set in other schools here

You're correct... and it's sad how people are "stupid" and can't get the aforementioned simple concept through their heads.

So basically it is required for all of your HS career?

Same thing in PA, except they require health in 9th and 10th, along with PE. In 9th grade, however, a semester of swimming replaces PE.
