I see Mike got a Winter Weather Advisory for both counties, and Patrick's Winter Weather Advisory was upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning. I continue to fall further behind.......
On the other hand, this sounds encouraging:
904 AM EST SAT DEC 5 2009 /804 AM CST SAT DEC 5 2009/
...A SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM TO IMPACT THE REGION THIS WEEK...
WHILE SPECIFIC DETAILS REMAIN SKETCHY...THE POTENTIAL FOR A WINTER
STORM IN THE GREAT LAKES REGION DURING THE MIDDLE OF THIS COMING
WEEK APPEARS HIGH. PRECIPITATION SHOULD DEVELOP LATE TUESDAY INTO
TUESDAY NIGHT AND PERSIST THROUGH WEDNESDAY...BRINGING A POSSIBLE
MIXTURE OF FREEZING RAIN...RAIN AND SNOW TO THE REGION. HEAVY
PRECIPITATION WITHIN THE GREAT LAKES REGION APPEARS LIKELY BUT IT
REMAINS TOO EARLY TO DETERMINE EXACT LOCATION...PRECIPITATION TYPE
AND AMOUNTS.
BY LATE WEDNESDAY...A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE
AREA FOLLOWED BY VERY WINDY CONDITIONS...COLD TEMPERATURES AND LAKE
EFFECT SNOW WITH BLOWING SNOW POSSIBLE INTO THURSDAY.
This from the NWS in Northern indiana, put out only 10 minutes ago.
