Everyone here is getting sick as well, even my little sister. She got sent home right away when my dad brought her to school because they were afraid that she would spread her sickness to everyone else.
Anyways, I really hope you feel better Tavores.

Everyone in my area is sick with coughs and swine flu. If there is a swine flu outbreak going on in schools, then why are they not shutting them down?

because it's not as serious as they originally thought...

Really, on your cell phone? Never has happened here. :o

Here, we have the Bensalem mayoral election (DiGirolamo better win the election again for 5th time), and the NJ governor election (I dislike both candidates, Corzine and Christie).

Actually , I read they closed down about 300 schools last week for Swine Flu precautions, they expect twice as many more schools will close for at least a week or more before the year is over, I find it hard to believe that SC is only experiencing regional flu outbreak and not widespread, they're surrounded by neighboring widespread flu states.

Because 4 schools in my area closed when 50 or more of the kids there  got sick so it is serious....

I think Al is saying that the flu is not as harmful as first thought.  My brother's high school had an outbreak about 2 weeks ago, where 35-40% of the school was out.  They still stayed open (they don't close school down for  :censored: ).  Just wash your hands, cover your mouth with your sleeve, and you should be fine in getting it, so no need for school to shut down.

You better vote Corzine  :club:

You have the point, but the issue is most people won't do that. Especially with younger kids.

I just got over my sinus infection, so it just seems that all of us have to fight through the illnesses common to this time of year on top of the swine flu.  Hopefully, everyone will be well soon.
