I'm leaving today from Ensenada. Coming back home to Duck Centro tonight. I had so much fun and got to relax as much as I needed. A week of midterms and club activties is coming...can't wait to do them.  :pinch:

Looks beautiful, Ana! I am jelous.

I did not get the job at the news station, but the guy who interviewed me had some really kind words to say to me.  He told me that openings come and go, so keep checking back, and he would love to have me up there.  So, I guess there is hope :D

Aww. Well I have to agree with him, there are definitely (and should) be other opportunities out there. Keep your hopes up, Kyle!

Thanks, Ana!  I sure will. I mean, I know that I am capable of getting a job up there. I've been interactive with them for a couple years now.  :P

Something is seriously wrong with the weather across the country this week- Freezing rain/wintry mix (albeit light) as far south as southwestern Kansas and the Texas Panhandle, 13.8" of snow officially reported at the North Platte, NE airport yesterday, Winter Storm Watches through the plains (and snow forecasted for Chazz's area), and also a Wintry Mix in the forecast for southern Wisconsin. For me, rain. The record low for Rockford, IL was set at 25 (previously 26), yet my record low remains out
of reach, at 19.

This just isn't right.

However, this is an encouraging sign:

Some people like it cold...
Some like it hot...

Despite forecasts predicting 70 degrees and sunny here, it's been below 60 and cloudy all weekend.  I strongly dislike weather like this. :furious:

As I said before, I'm pretty sure the stream plays a part in this (no offense). Most people who go to the stream daily hardly post in the forums.

I concur with you. It makes no sense to use the stream all the time and just lounge around in the forums seeing most of the active members here hardly post now.

Plus, a lot of the site news Martin announces is on the stream, so the majority of our members would have no idea what is going on with the site. I'm not trying to be offensive or anything, but that stream really needs to go, or at least just limit our time on it and make sure to share things on the forum too.

I really dont want to disagree with both of you, but I have to. It's not the stream that's taking away the posts on the forums. I would blame it on school. As I log on here after my classes here in school, I have noticed that between the hours of 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM PDT are the hours of inactivity. I noticed this also when I wake up at around 7:30 my time. Martin's Stream has also had inactivity as well, but it's not the case here. So, as of this time it's the busiest time of the school year, with tests, studying, and stuff, so, just bear with them.

The stream doesn't get as many visitors as you all think.  I never see more than ten people in it now when it used to have far more back in April and May.  I feel the real reasons for the decline in posting activity come from school and the lack of interest in TWC lately.  The TWC boards have really slowed down since the summer began as there's been almost no news worth mentioning.  Furthermore, I noticed many members feeling really upset about TWC's changes this year.  Maybe we should try expanding TWCT to include more weather topics or other ideas involving TWC.  Any ideas?
