Well I know when you have the tuner directly connected to the cable system, channels 1-99, its Cable HRC. Usually with VCRs and other devices between the 2, its Cable. Try either of the three.

Nope. And i regret returning it. My dad bought it and made the decision to return it. <_<

So the WinTV doesn't have a limit on many channels it can tune in? TWC is on 362. Will 362 show up on the tuner or will it be changed to a different number during channel scan?

Arent most like 125? Besides, as stated earlier, you only need Channel 3.

I found a good USB tuner, ATI TV Wonder 600. It's an HD tuner but it costs 122$ in Best Buy.

Good card, bad price. Go to pricewatch.com. You can find some real nice stuff there without breaking the bank.  :twothumbs:

Best Buy and Circuit City are the biggest ripoffs since AOL...

I hate Circuit City. The guy there told me I need a phone jack to put the tuner near to.

Gary I'll try pricewatch.com. The ATI 600 produces sharp, sexy graphics for a USB so I might consider getting that one.

EDIT: is Youtube working for anyone? I'm unable to access the site currently.

I could've seen it, but the hotel I stayed at had no STAR hooked up. I simply saw satellite with no LDL. <_<

Because I might be going to Denver, CO during the summer and would like to see how the STAR there looks like. We may go on a long road trip and do some "Star spotting" !

I may go to Colorado Springs again this summer, and we may drive to the Grand Canyon, into Utah, and Yellowstone in Wyoming. I'm hoping to find older STARs along the way...
