So...I'm now pulling digital channels with a 20+ yr old antenna (just rabbit ears) and I'm getting that weather channel that was advertised on the LDL of my other video...it's almost exactly like WxScan...except without the clutter and Trammell.

Not right away...they take down off of YouTube, and I can't encode the video format in Movie Maker.

It's raw digital feed...I think that's MPEG-2.

I think I just killed an old computer. We got this old PC from like 1987 from a relative nearly 10 years ago. I remember using it back then and it had some version of DOS. Then it lived in out basement for probably the past 6 or 7 years. I decided to pull it out tonight, and set it up. When it booted, I got some kind of "memory size error" and the only thing I could do was get into the BIOS. So I was playing around with some of the settings in there, and then the computer randomly and suddenly shut down. Whenever I tried flipping the power switch in the back the LEDs on the computer and keyboard would flash for a half second then turn off. After trying to boot it back up for 10 minutes, I got frustrated and just unplugged it.

The computer probably got fried by dust on the board, or on a component.

I wouldn't be surprised. I know very little about this computer. It is a "VTI Personal Computer." It must be a custom computer or something because I can find no information on it online. I know it has a 12 MHz 286 because I saw "80286" on the boot screen, and a sticker with "12MHz" on the front. It also has 3.5" and 5.25" diskette drives, and a key-operated power switch on the front.

Well everyone, the Pot Belly Stove's days are numbered. Just a mere 19 days till spring and The Front Porch return.

However, it is currently locked, which means that only one of us admins or mods can open it back up again. Sorry Mike. I know how much you love to start our seasonal threads.  :P
