According to the New York Times, Congress has just passed an economic stimulus package to the tune of $168 billion. The terms of the package are:

-Rebates of $300-$1200 for taxpayers
-Payments of $300 to people who paid no taxes, but earned from Social Security or veterans benefits

Do any of you guys own a DVD recorder? It seems like a lot of money just to record clips

Well, see; normal people use DVD recorders to record movies and TV shows... It doesnt sound like alot of money then, it actually sounds like a solid investment!

However, for just recording TWC clips, yeah, its a load of money and doesnt seem worth it.

Then again, I have a DDR just for TWN

Wouldn't it cost less for normal people to use a DVR for that purpose? 

DVR's work, but you usualy have to get them from your satellite / cable provider.

I on the other hand have a DDR which records anything you plug in to it.
