You're right it is, the only thing special about it is that today is the 10th month on the 10th day of the 10th year of the century or "10/10/10" like 7/7/07 it's considered lucky. WV did a whole segment on this day today relating to couples getting married today.

Obviously it's just another day like the others. Some people just like paying attention to numbers. Some things may be interesting to others that aren't interesting to you.

Of all these "special" dates, 12/12/12 is more noteworthy to me than any of the others.  After that date, you won't have any more until the start of 2101.  Other than that, it's just a nice number coincidence in the timeline.

I remember that day too! I was in 5th grade at the time, and the boys were saying the same thing and I was arguing with them!

Unfortunately, I talked to a friend about that, and she said that on that day, one of her friends was planning to commit suicide, but she then convinced that person not to.

June 6, 2006 was the first day I remember that had all 3 parts of the date the same.
