Well, I'm about to dismantle my desktop again and take it over to Haslett, where it will be until the middle of next week. Geesh, I thought those daze were over  <_<
Nevertheless, I won't be posting any Lansing clips for a while.

I must say that ClearType is simply amazing!  I just configured it on my new laptop as it never looked good for some reason on my older XP, and now everything including this forum is easier to read.  Yes, I'm discovering new things about Windows 7 each day and trying to catch up with the rest of you who have had Vista or 7 much longer than me. :P

Not sure if ClearType was around in Vista but it was in XP, hence I use ClearType on XP right now.
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

In XP I usually have to adjust my ClearType settings because it doesn't always necessarily look the best. Fortunately Microsoft provides a PowerToy for XP to adjust it.

But yeah, ClearType is a significant improvement from standard font smoothing.

I know this is a bit off subject, but I need to post this where people would be likely to see it...

I have been pointing out some issues to Martin with uploading files to the site and redownloading some (since as some of you may know, I lost a few files a couple weeks ago (even though I got most of them back)). He tried fixing the uploading issue, but I am still having trouble. I tried it on another connection a little over a week ago, and still couldn't upload files. Here's how I would see it:

When I try to upload some files, it waits a few minutes, and then tells me "Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage". I tried it on all 3 computers we have in this house, and I even tried it on another connection, and still got the same issue.

Now as for the downloading.. whether it be for videos on the forums or the videos on the pages themselves, when I would download the files, I would not get much of the file, and it would appear corrupt. In case you are wondering, I was trying my Petoskey and E.L. LAT48's #5 submissions. If anyone could please try this, it would be much appreciated. I know Martin will go ahead and ask people to try it as well.
You know I was having the uploading issues last night/this morning as well, either Firefox couldn't display the page or it said the connection was reset. Even when I tried to add an image form imageshack, it did the same thing.
Is this still occurring?

Woke up at around 10:50 by a huge 5.9 earthquake!!! I had some frames and other things hanging on the wall falling off, and some things breaking as well. As for my family and I we're all ok.

Here's the preliminary report:

Oh my!!! :o What an awful way to wake up, but I am certainly glad you are OK, Ana. :) I guess that's one risk with living out west. :hmm:

I guess Mother Nature thought it was time for you to wake up.. Lol, I'm kidding. I'm very happy neither you nor your family was hurt by the quake. Wow, what a way to wake up. I wish I lived where I could see a little earthquake action. Not deadly though, of course.

Yeah, I would love to see extremes like that as well, though I'm more for weather extremes than seismic activity lol :bleh:
