I have a teacher whose name is Katrina, though she usually goes by Kate. There's also a girl in my Spanish class who chose Katrina as her Spanish name (we all picked our own Spanish names in our class, mine is Miguel),
My name hasn't been used since 2000, and IIRC it only made it to a tropical storm. It was on the 2006 list but was never used.

There's still a lot of common names they've haven't used yet for named storms, yet they decide to come up with weird names I've never heard of before (like the ones they replaced the retired names last year).
