Has anyone noticed that Mogulus is now Livestream? The changeover apparently happened on the 19th but I just got an email notice about it today.

Well I think that would be a good thing because I'm sure anyone named Katrina after the storm was a bit upset: having the same name as a hurricane that killed a thousand people. But, I'm glad your name is on the list though.

Yep, I went to school with a girl named Katrina Schliker. My final year in Holt (where I went to school with her) was in 5th grade, in '03-'04. My mom buncos with her mom, and Katrina's mom mentions quite often how much Katrina is teased.

Anyway, the feminine spelling of my name was used in 2007, and I was not too happy about it

I was REALLY excited when I first hear about Tropical Storm Ana when it formed in April of 2003. It got me even more interested in meteorology. I wanted to learn about Tropical weather. I also learned about how tropical storms get their name.

I did that too (I picked Esteban), before I transferred to a different teacher for Spanish second semester freshman year (last year).

My name hasn't been used since 2000, and IIRC it only made it to a tropical storm. It was on the 2006 list but was never used.

My name was used in 2007 as a category 5 hurricane. It's got replaced by Fernand.

Oh yeah, I remember that one. I was up in St Ignace (Upper Peninsula side) for the annual Labor Day bridge walk, watching it on TWC

There's still a lot of common names they've haven't used yet for named storms, yet they decide to come up with weird names I've never heard of before (like the ones they replaced the retired names last year).

Max, your name is in the 2011 Eastern North Pacific list.

Yeah...some names are from English, Spanish and French. They are using mostly Spanish names as replacements AFAIK.

There's still a lot of common names they've haven't used yet for named storms, yet they decide to come up with weird names I've never heard of before (like the ones they replaced the retired names last year).

If they want to use weird names, they should use mines.
