School computers do suck. At my old HS they blocked everything, this year apparently they are even worse, luckily I don't have to deal with them. At the University of Toledo I haven't run into anything that's blocked.

BTW, I my last day of school was May 6th and that was just for one exam, my last day of class was even before that!

Oh, don't even get me started about school blocks. A lot of times, I have interesting vdeos that I post to youtube, that I also want to show people at school, and I end up having to upload the video to my photobucket account or bring in a DVD with the video.

Most of the proxy sites themselves have been blocked. This is still a new thing to me, as I have only known about it since mid-April. The only proxy site that I know of is http://www.francesgites.com/, but that won't load for some reason at my school. It tells me that the connecton to the server has "timed out". I do not believe the site has been blocked yet, but could be on the verge of that.

I think Mibbit has been blocked in my college as well.

I can access Mibbit fine here. I've never heard of a college that blocked websites. I thought it was just grade schools/high schools that did that.

Oh wait....update. SOME of the Library comps had Mibbit blocked, the one I was on this morning was blocked but I knew why: ADOBE FLASH PLAYER 10 IS AVAILABLE. WOULD YOU LIKE DO INSTALL IT NOW?
^I'd get in trouble for installing stuff without the librarian's consent.

Update on Serafina: Just called my sister and she said that her fever is down a bit. Which is good. I might consider changing her diet.

I can access Mibbit fine here. I've never heard of a college that blocked websites. I thought it was just grade schools/high schools that did that.

The only sites that are blocked here in IVC are myspace and youtube.

You mean TWC Today? That to me sounds stupid. 
I am the only person at my school (of about 975+ people total) who knows about the site, so it will never be blocked for me.

I have to endure a crappy content filter known as TwoTrees Shelterbelt. It blocks many Web sites I use, including Twitter, YouTube, Homestar Runner, Homestar Runner Wiki, Last.fm, and worst of all, my own Web site.

It is so bad that I even blogged about it once.

Also, I am forced to use Internet Explorer 6!

Our schools use surfcontrol, but sometimes that doesn't work, one time i found a picture of a wooded lake area I was going to use for a writing project, then when I clicked on it, I got taken to an ad site where it said FREE PORN BY E-MAIL, any way, on ALL of our schools computers you can't right-click on the taskbar, you can't access the display properties (which sucks when you have computers that's resolution are 800x600 from full-screen programs), as well as you can't open the window that shows the current devices connected when you right-click the "Safely remove hardware" notification Icon.

Yeah, they don't want students messing with settings, even though you would probably only affect the settings in your login. I am looking at buying a laptop later this year. I am also considering buying an Internet card with a subscription service from a provider (AT&T or Verizon, most likely) to avoid this whole blocking mess.

The Fall semester begins August 24th. I could take summer classes but I need a break.

Okay, what the hell is with BOTH facebook and myspace. Facebook just had some tweaks with the chat thingy...and now today...myspace just added their chat thingy! Also, on your statuses on your myspace, it's limited to 140 characters, like Twitter. Is myspace trying to beat facebook? I sense some competition...I'm writing a blog about this later.
