Well, once again, I have an interesting week ahead!

I could see snow and 80 degrees in the same week! I am hoping for the possibility of severe weather on Sunday
84° here on Saturday! I don't remember having days this warm in April since like 2003.

My PowerBook came today, which is surprisingly fast, since it shipped from Sante Fe on Saturday via USPS. Pics to come, possibly.

What kind of powerbook is it? Also speaking of macs, I got my ibook's (G4 model) ram upgraded and it rocks! For a PowerPC, it runs pretty well...

Ahhhh.... fond PowerPC memories.... I haven't used a PPC Mac as my main machine in over a year. I sold my 17-inch PowerBook in January '08 to buy my 15-inch MacBook Pro. However I just sold my last PPC Mac A few days ago, a 900MHz iBook G3 that I bought on Craigslist for $80 and sold for $250.

I've convinced myself that I will never own an Intel Mac. It just goes against everything I stand for.

The PowerBook is a 1400c/166 in fantastic condition.

If I could get a PowerMac G4 Cube, maxed out with a PowerLogix Dual 1.5GHz G4 upgrade, DVD-RW, 23" Apple HD Cinema Display (the acrylic one), Final Cut Pro 2, and DVD Studio Pro 1.5 all in OS 9.2, I'd be in heaven. I'd take that over my MBP. The only issue is that most sites I go to (YouTube) won't work in any browser that I know of on OS 9.

I used to have one of those, I think it was a 1400c/144 though, it was my first Apple laptop. My parents got it for me on my birthday when I was in 7th grade.... oh I miss those days...

My iBook G4 is horrible when it comes to video stuff. When I try to run my new tuner on it, it skips when I record. It's maxed out with memory (1.25 GB), and I have nothing open other than the recording program.

I would expect that. PowerPCs are old but then again, the closest powerPC you could get and be able to probably be able to use it as a permanent Mac is a powerpc G5.

That is why I need an Intel Mac, imagine processing the HD 1080i video I get off my DVR on a PPC. I can just hear it screaming in pain...

Fail!

O...M...G...  :rofl2:  That reminds me of an episode of A&E's Parking Wars where they booted a Coke truck, the boot couldn't even fit on the tire...  :rofl2:
