Actually, that theory is probably the best one so far. Telecommunications devices are extremely prone to interference. May father recently had DSL service in the apartment he lived in and to start with he had problems like your having. The problem ended up being that lines from Verizon were interfering with those from Cavilier Telephone (another phone co. in this area). Are there other phone companies servicing your area other than the one your with?

I'm not sure. But TBH, I really don't care what's the problem now since we're going back to Cable very soon.

Billy, that's almost IDENTICAL to my laptop.  I love it.  What I find REALLY irrirating is the glossy finish the cover has.  It's nice, but once you try to carry it, SPLODGE, there's a handprint right there, and you feel so compelled as to clean it off.

Also, was it any faster when you reformatted your computer?  Mine acts a little slow at times.

Also, did your laptop have any rebates?  Free $$$.  Brought my price down to $768.

Yeah. I find all the glossy surfaces to be a tad bit annoying. I just got it today, and it's already all smudged up.

I haven't really noticed a speed difference, but I only spent a few minutes running it with the factory defaults. I imagine it would be faster. I quickly looked through the Task Manager and there was alot running.

Wireless phones, microwaves, fax machines, answering machines, and televisions are just a few of the devices that can (and do) interfere with wireless routers.

I'll keep that in mind when we get our Cable service set up.

Probably because your equipment is far enough away from interference. I think they have to be closer than 10 feet to experience interference.

Well, it's kind of too late to tell my parents that now since we're pretty much stuck on the fact that we're switching to Cable. :ph34r: I'll be sure to tell them when we start to get the cable equipment set up, though.
