Okay, here are the Ocean City IntelliStar clips:
  • Aug 1, 2008 - 11:38pm
  • Aug 1, 2008 - 11:48pm
  • Aug 1, 2008 - 11:58pm

A few oddities/things to note about the STAR:
  • TWC is on Channel 2.
  • Ocean City is on the Getaway Forecast and there are discrepancies between the forecast listed on the Getaway Forecast page and actual local forecast.
  • On the radar and metro maps, the county line(s) between Worcester, Wicomico, and Somerset counties are missing.
  • The STAR serves Worcester County, MD and Sussex County, Delaware.
  • The ad crawls all contain two ads put together. Cheap Comcast.

You know, I thought I remembered TWC being on an odd channel in OC.  :D

Anyway, great clips Billy!  :cool3:

Interesting how those county lines are missing, Billy.

Speaking of STAR oddities, when I was in Erie this past new days, I noticed the regional map was totally fudged up. Pittsburgh was placed over where Wheeling, Wva should be; and Harrisburg was placed over where Pittsburgh should be (and the funny thing is, Harrisburg's physical location couldn't be seen on the map!).

Looks like all of the west coast IntelliStars don't show the regional maps at :18/:48, not just your unit in Santa Cruz. I wonder if those maps were intentionally not implemented on the 1:30 flavors on west coast stars.

I've noticed that. It's incredibly annoying. I like to see the regional forecast.
I've thought about telling the STAR team, but I figure it's not a big enough issue to have them fix. :itsok:

Gah, I still have to upload pictures from my Scranton, PA trip back in June, which includes great scenery and train pics. Anyone still interested in them?

I had my first TWC dream in a while.  And it's an odd one.

I had a dream that the morning anchor here on my local station was leaving, and DAVE SCHWARTZ was replacing him    It was odd.  The oddest thing about it is..I don't think the morning anchor is leaving for a while..lol

I'd rather have all XL Units to be like the ones in Punxsutawney, PA or Georgetown, KY.
