Wow, that late Tyler? I've had a cell phone since late 2004, a bit after my 13th birthday. I didn't want it at first, but my mom wanted me to for emergency purposes.

I didn't get a cell phone until earlier this year (around 17th birthday). My parents refused to pay for it (which is a good parental decision, IMO), so after I got a job, I got one myself, and pay the bill myself. I think any parent paying their child's cell phone bill should be slapped in the face (no offense to anyone's parent). You're not teaching them to be responsible.

although I agree with most of your statement...responsibility does not always come from parents, you eventually learn responsibility by yourself in most matters, especially when you have parents who don't support you - as myself.

which is why I started looking for a job - so I can continue to pay my cell phone, you'd be surprised how much responsibility you'll learn by simply getting a job, it opens your eyes and makes you realize that this is the real world, it isn't a game anymore.

Mine have for the last two years, but they pushed for it while I've been at college.  That will change in just a couple of weeks...our contract is up.

I think cell phones serve a practical use for HS freshman and up.  Coming from someone who was in after-school activities before I could drive, they really help.  Under that level, though, unacceptable.  And texting....UGH.

I don't really want an iPhone.  I have a regular cell, a Palm PDA, and a iPod.  Good enough.

The new logo is supposed to roll-out nationwide by years end. As of last week, the two Walmarts closest to me have not changed anything (except the plastic bags).

There's tons of Wal-Marts here and none of them had changed yet.

Today at my Wal-Mart, they took down the big light-up sign along the road. I wonder if they're going to put up a new one like this one:

My walmart just remodeled last winter.. to the tanner version, and they still have the old logo...and slogan on it.  But, the storm knocked down one of the signs, so maybe they won't replace it until they actually change.

So, It's going to be "Walmart" now, instead of "Wal-Mart"?

I think "Walmart" is just the branding name. The company is still called Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

I find it odd that the Sam's Club I frequent at Pittsburgh Mills is still sporting the older logo on the front of it (the green, blue, orange one). According to Wikipedia, the current one's been in place since 2006. All of the logos in-store though have been changed. Here's the newer logo I'm referring to:

As for the other store closest to me, in Monroeville, I haven't a clue if the logo has changed there yet. I haven't shopped at that store since the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills location opened in 2005, IIRC.

The Sam's Club around here still uses the old logo.
