That looks nothing like the tests we get here. The ones here usually have a green background and there's no crawl. They usually run it around late mornings/early afternoons on Wednesdays.

That's pretty much what mine looks like, only it has the WEEKLY REQUIRED TEST at the top, and a scroll under that pretty much explains the test I suppose.. :P

Everybody gets them. They are generated by the cable company, and all cable company's are required to test their EAS equipment.

Yeah, on another board I frequent, people get pissy if there is an EAS test during Price is Right (like of like how they ***** and moan about Dubya Bush speaking during the show, too)...

That's EXACTLY what Comcast's EAS looks like here. Not sure about Verizon's, though, as I haven't seen one yet.
