Cinco De Mayo, Mother's Day, and Memorial Day.

Billy, You call hefty hardware requirements and extreme instability a pleasant experience? I ran it on my notebook, which was Vista Certified, and it was terribly slow. Vista's hardware requirements are absolutely insane. Its just incredibly unstable too. Windows ME all over again.

Actually, one of the computer labs in my schools had Vista, and the sofware was so slow and incompatible that they switched the OS back to XP again.

However, I must stress out that i like Vista's graphics a lot. Even if people dislike Vista, they won't have a choice of OS's on new computers after XP is dicontinued in a few years.

If you own a copy of XP, you will.

I was just talking to my brother about how he likes Vista, and he says he hates it. He says that it bogs his computer down terribly. And he has a VERY souped up computer, so for Vista to still be bogging him down, it MUST be pretty bad.

Ugh, don't even get me started on Vista. I liked it at first, but after several months of dealing with it, it's getting really annoying. It freezes up more often than XP, and it's a memory hog, too. I even have trouble with playing videos (locally, not on sites like YouTube), even with my laptop plugged in and on high performance.

Until Microsoft gets Vista to be an actual useable operating system, I still prefer XP, and if I could I would downgrade my laptop to XP.

Because I don't have a copy of XP that I can use for that machine.

I have no plans in upgrading to Vista anytime soon. I don't have much problems with XP, plus I like XP's appearance and how it's more customizable than Vista. I took a look at Vista in computer shops and it looked like they were just copying off of Mac OS X.

My brother loves Vista. He got to use a Vista computer temporarily while his XP was away, and he loved it! He loves it so much, that he installed a program on his XP that makes everything look, sound, and act as though he were running Vista.

You must have a really good computer then, cause mine had 512 MB and it barely booted up under 5 minutes. All the more reason why i switched to Mac.
