Yes, speed is total difference. We are very far from the central office or whatever,  so it woul dbe pretty slow. with cable,
it doesnt matter where you are.
There's not really a difference in speed between cable and DSL. I've used both and the speed of cable is definitely comparible to DSL. :yes:

Well, how far are you from central office? you could be a lot closer than i am.

My dad refuses to ever get DSL. cable is more reliable, faster, and easier. its like all newer technology.

I'm not sure. But from my experience, DSL and Cable speeds are very similar.

Unfortunately Gil, we can't control where you live, and its not fair that you bash DSL based on your situation. Most folks live within a reasonable distance form their CO. The only time distance is usually a factor is when your in a rural area.

Yah, I complain a lot. :D Anywho, I'm happy with cable, and i'd have it over anything. THats my oppinion.
