We removed it, and plugged the DSL line back in to the phone jack again, and the internet came back up. Tomorrow, we'll buy a splitter and try that to see if it'll work. Hopefully it does.
Here's what you do-plug the splitter into the phone jack. You will now have two phone jacks instead of one. Then, plug the DSL modem ONLY into one of those jacks, and plug your telephone cord w/the filter attached into the other jack. That's it! 8)
Gil, what are you talking about? I have had DSL for years with no problems. So what, you have to have a filter on all the phones? Does it really take a monkey's to put them in? What's wrong with $20 for 1500?Go pay $40 bucks a month yourself

Gil, are you that dense? There is NO work to it at all, there is NO speed difference at all.
