Dispite what they say, I seriously do believe that The Lake (lake michigan) does have some weird effect on severe weather. Out of all my years (which, granted, hasnt been long) only 3 true storms actually were severe that hit here. every single one of the others either went north or went south.

THose 3 storms all happened in 2003. 2 of them in May, and 1 right around 4th of July.

CE, I dunno if you remember this, but remember around 4th of July 2003, every single night for about 5
nights we got really bad storms?

I'm not really sure how to change the forum time (maybe Stephen can figure it out?) but in your profile you can set the time to whatever you want. For me the forum time is correct. Probably because its set to Eastern time.

Originally, i had mine set to -1. then 2 days ago it was wrong and had to set it to -2, so something definitely changed.

LOL. This forum seems to have ghosts. Somehow the permissions for uploading got changed the other day, but I didn't do it. And now the time settings are getting changed, but again I didn't do it!  :ph34r:

Partly true, Gil.  I've seen storms riding out from Central Wisconsin to the Lake with no dissipation whatsoever.  I think it's a combination of the Lake AND the city of Chicago itself.

No, Gil, I don't remember those.  However there'e been more severe weather than just those three you mentioned, Gil.  1998 had an explosion of severe weather.

but the 3 i mentioned were very memorable. the 2 in May were tornadic.

i barely recall a big storm or 2 in 1998

Anywho, i do remember one or 2 big storms in 98 where we got hail. we rarely get hail here.

LOL, I can't imagine how. I have just the opposite problem. I have facial hair and everything, yet people still think I'm 14 or 15 years hold. Hello! Have you ever seen a 14 or 15 year old with facial hair? I doubt it.
