I have a similar problem, but it's been going on for much longer. I don't know if anyone noticed, but I often flicker on and off of the online users list because of internet problems.

I used to have a problem like that and it was being caused by the modem overheating. Make sure your modem isvented in some way-either positioned on its side, or if you sit it flat make sure you sit it on something like a desk or table and not the floor.

My router is on the table, so that's not the problem.

Then the next thing to suspect would be the ethernet cable(s). Of course the only way you can test these though is if you happen to have a spare lying around somewhere.

Usually once a week, i unplug (power cords) everything. ROuter, Modem, other router, etc. Let them cool off for about 15 minutes, plug em back in, and everything runs a lot smoother.

Also check eithernet cables. It could be a problem with your ISP as well.

Speaking of keyboards, I am going to buy one of those really cool overpriced Apple keyboards :D

I've covered ethernet cables, and my next step was to suggest calling the ISP. Your first piece of advice is good though.  :P

Pretty much every time my mom picks up the phone (or starts calling the ISP), the internet usually comes back up.
