If you split the electric bill 50/50, you might want to suggest that if she wants to keep the apartment colder than you'd like all the time, maybe she should pay a larger share of the electric bill since she's the one using the extra energy to keep things cold.

A more sensible position would be to simply split the difference between her ideal temperature and yours.  If she likes the apartment at, say, 70°, and you like it at 76°, then you should set the thermostat at 73°.

Well, if she could, she would set the thermostat to the 50s...lol. For me, I think it's the combination of the fan and vent that make it too cold for me. She will say it's too hot when I turn the A/C off for a while, yet she's under a blanket and has on long pants. The thermostat is in the living room, and she's usually always there, so it's hard to sneak up the thermostat in that situation. I'm going to talk to her about it today, because in order for this to work long term, I need to be comfortable too. Other than the temperature, however, she is a good roommate, so hopefully she will be willing to compromise.

So she dresses warmly but wants the air around her to be very cold?  Yikes.

Anyone been having problems loading many YouTube videos lately? Obviously this isn't a browser, computer or internet issue but rather a bug on YouTube's end so I assume somebody else here is also having trouble loading videos as well.  :dunno:

No, I've been able to upload and watch videos today just fine. Maybe it's a youtube glitch or bug, happens all the time.

Am I dreaming, or has taiganet.com been hacked or something? The whole web directory was evidently deleted.

Did the taiganet forums get shut down? I tried accessing the forums and everytime I go there I get a 404 error saying link not found. This is the same homepage link I always go to when accessing the forums.

I'm not sure what's going on. It's been down for several days. I asked Nick if he could find out, but he doesn't have Bill's email address. We're thinking he might have been hacked, but I'm surprised he hasn't fixed (or at least addressed) the problem yet. Very strange.

It looks like it could've been hacked. I really hope it gets fixed. I would hate to see the site go.

Hey everyone!

Haven't been on here in a while and haven't kept touch with some. Been kinda busy lately. Now that school is over, I have more free time. Last couple of weeks have been crazy with finals, getting into a car accident, getting rejected, getting very sick and throwing up over 10 times etc. But to be honest, I never been happier in my life before and I'm enjoying it. Looking forward to getting back onto this forum again.

Me and a couple of other guys are doing what we can to find out what happened with taiganet. The download script page still works and whatnot though, and it still gives you the latest public release.
