Who here is having final or AP exams in the next few days? My AP Chinese test is tomorrow. Good luck to those who are testing! :)

My AP Chinese test is tomorrow.

I was a linguistics major, but even I wouldn't have dared tackle the Chinese language.  My congratulations!

Looks like my former hometown of Spokane has the Local AccuWeather Channel now. Here is a video clip that I was able to record while at a friend's house yesterday.

Last night I got a puncture in my rear bike tire.  I managed to take the wheel off, replace the tube and tire fine, and get the wheel mounted again.  Now my only problem is the derailleur... and that is simply beyond my capabilities.  I'm not strong enough to hold the derailleur open and in position AND screw it in where it belongs at the same time.  I can do one or the other, but that's a senseless exercise, isn't it?

On top of that, I found out that my former so-called best friend used, betrayed, and abused me in ways I didn't even think possible, and, naturally, it's only my fault because I "allowed" him to do so because I naïvely didn't realize what he was doing until it was far too late.

And, last but not least, I woke up at 3:30 this morning and couldn't fall back asleep.  I have to walk to work (since my bike's out of commission), work until 9:30 this evening, then walk back for another 35-40 minutes... and collapse into bed just to do the whole thing over again tomorrow.

Suffice it to say, this has not been a good day for Eric. :censored:

Eric, hope things get better for you soon.  I can relate as my last several months have not been good, and I'm starting to ask for help.

Thanks.

I finally managed to get the derailleur on my bike properly, but that's when I discovered why I haven't been able to properly shift gears the entire time I've owned it.  It also has some other damage that can't be repaired at home, so it's time to send it to a bike shop for professional help.

As for my former friend... I have the eerie feeling that this is only the calm before the storm. :hurricane:

As some of you might remember, Aaron W. (socool775 from YouTube) put together a database for IntelliSTAR and WeatherSTAR Junior units, which included ID numbers, city names, etc. This was his website:

http://www.stardatabase.zoomshare.com/

I got an email message from Aaron recently and he said that Zoomshare (the website's host provider) was getting rid of the free service and charge users $6.95 a month. Since I've submitted most units to his website, he offered me to maintain the database via a different free website host provider, which I accepted almost immediately. Here is the new version of the database that I've put together using the submissions that I've backed up from Aaron's site a while back:

http://weatherstardatabase.yolasite.com/

My site's pretty much the same as the original, but this one now includes info for 4000, XL, IS2 and Weatherscan units. I'm still working on the site at the moment, but I figured I'd post the link to show you guys what I've worked on so far.
