I'm gearing up for the annual MDA Muscle Walk at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington next Saturday. If y'all can, please make a donation by clicking on the "Make a Muscle, Make a Difference" icon in my signature. I've already did 1/2 a dozen posts on my Facebook months prior, but it seems others' news feeds are cluttered by some other stuff (in other words, got no responses).

Alex, I wish you the best toward achieving your goal!

Trevor, could you possibly send me a PM as I'm wondering if there's a forum issue as you haven't received any of mine lately? :hmm:  We might need to talk later.

I don't think there's an issue with the PM system since I have been exchanging a few the past couple of days.

Also...usually I'd come on here and prank you all like I do every year (remember when I told you all I was pregnant? xD) well I didn't come up with anything because I was too busy getting drunk. NEXT YEAR I WILL.

Actually, turning TWCT into AccuWeatherToday like I had previously thought last year would have been a fabulous prank.

Seeing how much weather is dominating the conversation lately even on here, would you all be interested in having the weather boards expanded to allow you all more room for model discussions, forecasting, or even perhaps a weather trivia game or forecasting contest?  I gave everyone ideas in that thread several months ago, but I haven't seen anyone else try it, and I really don't want to do it all by myself.  So, I'd like some help from my team and from all of you with thoughts.
I like that idea. In addition, with the decreasing amount of fans of present-day TWC in the forums, I think we should cut back a bit on our current TWC boards and make this more classic TWC oriented in addition to more weather topics. Like merge them all and just have one "Present TWC" forum. It may help bring more positivity to the forums and make it more inviting.

For those wondering how i lost 87 pounds its thanks to my dietician for this meal plan.

7am: 1 cup of bran flakes with 1 cup of 1% milk
9am: Apple with 1 cup of water
11am: Toasted Deli Sandwich with 1 slice of deli and 1 slice of cheese on light white or light oatmeal bread
1pm: same as 9am
3pm: same as 11am
5pm: 3/4 cup of frosted mini wheat's with 1 cup of 1% milk

Also I've been walking a 1/2 mile a day around 12pm everyday (I'm looking to add another 1/2 mile walk at 4pm starting in mid April when it's warmer out).

That's great! I lost 50 pounds over the past 2 years from just cutting down on the sweets I like to eat, as well as excercising more.
2 years ago, I was 14 years old, 6'4", and weighed 245 pounds.
Now, I'm 16, 6'5", and weigh 195 pounds.

I've given Andy a plan for the Weather category here to expand it by a couple boards, and we're in the process of letting Martin know about it soon so he can give his input and hopefully approve the change.

Been working on my project for Photoshop (Rastering) class. This is just the first part, I haven't gotten deep into the Photoshop elements of it yet. The project is supposed to be for an ad campaign of our own made up product. I chose to do a shoe line I called "ZODIACS" which is pretty self explanatory, your zodiac sign is represented on your customized shoe. The first poster shows all signs customized in different color schemes. I'm a Sagittarius so the sample for that one is the green/lime green shoe. It might be hard to see the signs since I had to scale the image down.

This is the sketch I drew just to give my teacher an idea of what I was going for, I kinda went in a 180 with this project thanks to some suggestions from her.

I have to present this on Tuesday, April 9th so I'm gonna be busy putting the finishing touches on this off and on this weekend. I'll share the finalized project with you all after it's graded.

I was watching a movie called "Where The Heart Is" with my girlfriend earlier this evening, and during one scene there was a tornado that destroyed a town. At one point, there was even a TV that was tuned to The Weather Channel with a WeatherSTAR XL-generated tornado warning scroll. The movie is from 2000, which means that the IntelliSTAR hasn't been invented yet back then :P

Here's a snapshot of the TWC scene from the movie:

Sorry about the pic quality as I took it with my camera.

Today was an EPIC day for me. I participated in the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Muscle Walk this morning at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. A $40 donation, plus a chance to take a long walk around Cowboys Stadium to give someone with neuromuscular diseases a fighting chance...that's definitely a fair trade. I also caught up with a friend also named Michael I knew back in college. It was a wonderful experience! :D

To be real honest, I can't even imagine what life would be like if I had muscular dystrophy myself. I wouldn't be able to do much of the major stuff like I'm doing now. Sure, I would get around in a wheelchair, but I wouldn't do much. I'm very thankful to be in a healthy state that I am at now. Additionally, I know 2 friends (Michael who I mentioned before, and Jason who I knew back in middle school) who were diagnosed with said diseases.

This was the 2nd charitable walk/run that I've participated in...with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Dallas on October 2010.
