For some reason, channel 20 on Charter here in LB has changed to HLN    Three hours ago, it was TBS. At the moment there are two HLN channels on the lineup    HLN is also on channel 55 but the reception comes in very poor on my TV. Maybe Charter is moving channel feeds to new numbers, or it could be just an error 


I sure hope Charter doesn't move TWC to a channel number over 23 otherwise I won't be able to receive it anymore because I wouldn't have the right TV package

Shared channel space. It's a bit more rare these days than it was back in the earlier 2000s and back, but cable headends often do that. I think it might have to do with bandwidth stuff as well.

Currently we have two Oxygen channels, one is on ch. 79 and the other is ch. 198. Plus on top of that the HD channel which is ch. 743.

We used to have two Weatherscan channels (well listed as two on the program guide) on channel 19 and 212 (which still exists) back in the early 2000s. I think in this case it was a program guide error because everytime back then when I would turn onto channel 19 to see if Weatherscan was being shown, it wasn't, it was just Public Access content.  Unless it was one of those cases where the feed from Weatherscan was shown on there like at a certain time like overnight or something idk.

EDIT: Oh yeah I forgot, we currently have two TV Guide Network channels as well. the first is on ch. 27 and the second is ch. 177.

Now channel 20 is TBS again, so it must have been either an error or, as Zach said, it is a shared channel space. I'll keep an eye out if the channel switch feeds again.

Good news! I was able to recieve the digital channels with my Pinnacle via Windows Media Center! Turns out the program can't auto-detect the QAM channels, thus you have to manually add them yourself.

I can now start recording TWC in HD      I'm recording a test clip and I should have it up on my YT real soon.

Saw my first WeatherSTAR 4000 unit today out in Missouri Valley, Iowa. No visible degradation, but I had to do a double-take when I turned on the TV!

Well, today is my last day of Summer. In 6 hours and about 55 minutes it will be Monday and Summer vacation is a thing of the past. I'm not ready to go back completely, but being mentally engaged is better than just sitting at home doing nothing I guess. Classes look to be pretty good and I wish anyone who is going back tomorrow good luck!

I'm not ready to go back completely, but being mentally engaged is better than just sitting at home doing nothing I guess. I start work 2 weeks from now. Mondays are my least favorite with work straight from 8am to 9pm with a 5 hour break in between. I bought all my textbooks so far though
