Since E3 is this week are there any games anyone is looking forward to this holiday season?

My video game days pretty much ended with the Atari 2600.  Today's games are just far too complicated for me to figure out or keep track of everything.  3D motion makes me nauseous.

Long Island, August-September 2012 tornadoes, Hurricane Sandy, Blizzard of 2013, how many places on Earth do you know can get all 3 of those events within a 6 month period?

I've seen a few people change their usernames lately.  I just want to remind everyone that we have a 3-month rule here, so you cannot change your username more often than every 3 months.  I have added it to the Rules page as I found that previous administrators had not written it there.

Twcctornado77, I had to tweak your signature as it exceeded the height limits we have in place here due to a complaint.  I simply converted your images to links, so it should be fine now.  Other members here may want to check to ensure their signatures are not too big.

You mean change the display name? I didn't know one could change the actual username they registered with.

Does the forum have a prevention feature to not allow one to surpass three name changes or is it just a personal request? I don't plan on doing so, but I like to know the mechanics around here.

Yes he means display name  Its actually one of the original rules here since the forum has started but because no one has changed their names a lot recently it hasnt been to much of a problem, and all Patrick is doing is just reminding members that the rule is still in effect

Anyone can change his or her display name at any time.  The limit is not the number of changes allowed but rather the time between changes.  After changing your name, you must wait at least three months before doing it again.  Warnings will be issued to violators as it causes huge problems for everyone when members constantly change their names.  Administrators and moderators are able to track these name changes to determine if this rule has been violated.  Hope that helps, Christina!

With that being said, and now knowing that we could change our display names; I've decided to change my display name to a more common name. Simply - TWCCraig

Within the last two years, soft drinks like sodas and sugary teas have had those "X calories per serving" badge on the bottom of the label. But I've noticed in the last month or so, almost every non-alcoholic drink has these now, including water, unsweetened black tea, and even milk and other drinks high in nutrition. I understand why sodas have these, but water and milk? There's nothing in these drinks that sodas have, like high sugar and carbs content, etc. So why put the calorie badges on them?

Sorry for my absence folks. When I arrived back from Europe my grandmother became critically ill. She passed away yesterday and I have been getting her estate in order. She lived to be 98 which is amazing but I wish her last few days had not been as painful and unpleasant as they were. While her body was quite active she was unconscious for much of the time so I hope the discomfort was minimal. This makes me the last remaining Cornick which is a bit of a bummer to think about. :(
