While I knew the XL was a joke, I thought Ana was serious since it was still March 31st in her time zone at the time she made that post :bleh:

Also, did anyone see YouTube's DVD/VHS collection prank? I thought it was hilarious lol

Hah, Mike. xD

But overall I really enjoyed this year's AF Day. :3 I remember hating the holiday so much, but I finally learned how to successfully prank people. xD

^this however, was the best joke Google has pulled since the Topeka, Kansas prank.

Frankly, I consider April Fool's Day like Valentine's Day:  a pointless holiday that gives the wrong purpose.  Those two holidays always cause me more grief than anything. :hmm:

Ugh. I can guarantee you this will be the last post I make for at least a week before I either get to Sydney or the United States. One of the two. I'm in the outback, and it's miserable hot. It's the exact same climate as Phoenix.

With one major problem - the Australian government doesn't do weather forecasts for this part of the country, because 90% of the country's population lives on the coastline, and about that's about 18 million people. The other two million are spread out across an area equal to that of Nevada to the East Coast. There's satellite and radar support, and that's it. Forecast for the next 20 days: hot and sunny, occasional flash flood.

I'm actually starting to get homesick. :P Sixteen more days and I'll be relaxing in San Francisco.

Tiddlywinks.

Yeah, I don't think detailed forecasts for the Australian Outback would be all that important.  There's basically one constant forecast, and interruptions of that would perhaps warrant some additional attention, but that's all.  And, considering the population density is... very low, who'd be paying attention to the forecasts, anyway?  :)

If you can barely predict 18-hour forecasts accurately, then what makes you think you can predict 25 days ahead? sheesh..

Lol, you're right!  I don't even know what to say about this right now, except that the 15-day forecast on AccuWeather was never, ever accurate, and I don't think this one will be any better.  Even the general weather trend (i.e. will it be sunny, rainy, in the 70s, 80s, etc) is frequently wrong.

Finally, the cops in our area have stepped up. They now have patrol cars hanging out in my neighborhood. This is great news. They are issuing fines and tickets for people who blow through stop signs and speed in my neighborhood, which are crimes all too common here. They are mainly doing this because Suffolk Co. PD. is in debt. After all, Suffolk county, Long Island does have the highest paid cops in the whole country.
