I think it has to be his health.  It's sad how he's suffering, but hopefully losing all of the responsibilities and stress of running a company will allow him to focus on not only treatment, but also enjoying what time he has left, whether it's a lot or a little.

That's exactly it, he's been on medical leave since January. Although nothing much is changing other than job titles. Steve will contribute just as much to the company as Chairman of the Board as he has the last 8 months on leave.

Folks, please remove your videos with "Your Hand in Mine" by Explosions in the Sky. I got a copyright stike for uploading my LF clip with that song and now my account is suspended. Really mad right now because I want it back!

Did you get any warning(s) for any other videos prior to that? If so, maybe that's why your account was automatically suspended instead of warned.

Yes, and it's not fair because I didn't know Explosions in the Sky had copyrighted issues. I want to counternotify my account..

Do they watch you more closely and become stricter after you get previous copyright strikes? There are so many videos on YT right now with that song, and they've been up for years!

I think their partnership w/ Google might play into that especially when it comes to music. That's why that Youtube/WMG fallout happened a few years ago. They didn't feel Youtube was strict enough on copyright infrigments. I think Google kinda pushed for them to be more stricter on that once they became partners so that wouldn't happen again.

On the other hand, aren't copyright owners entitled to control how, where, when, and by whom the copyrighted works are published, exhibited, and distributed, and to earn money for these works?

I know I'd feel very cheated if I found my book being sold without my permission and without being compensated for it.  I get royalties for every book sold as compensation for the work I did to write it, and I'd like to think that I receive money for 100% of the books being sold.  If people bought my book from unauthorized sources, they'd get to enjoy the results of my work without any compensation for that work coming back to my publisher or to me.
