Sorry to change the subject on you guys, but I have a question. Might be a dumb one, sorry if it is  :hmm: but do any of you guys know how I can get a passport? My dad's from Britain and he doesn't know how and I know he won't spend any of his time helping me out. So I'm on my own  Any help or tips would very much be appreciated. :)

I'm not completely sure, but visit your local post office. I don't remember every tiny detail, but my passport photos and other passport stuff took place there. They should be able to get you off on the right foot.

You'll need to visit a post office or some other facility that can take a special small picture of you.  You need your birth certificate and driver's license to prove your identity and that you're a United States citizen.  Then, you'll have to fill out an application, submit copies of those forms of ID I mentioned along with your picture to the government for approval, and pay an application fee.  It'll take several weeks unless you pay more for faster shipping.

Yes, it's a pain to get one, but it lasts ten years.  I have one just because it's the strongest form of ID possible to have on you.  Renewing for one is a much easier process as long as your passport is not damaged.  See this link for more information:

As Patrick said, you do have to go through a lot of paper work and stuff to get a passport, so it's kind of a pain, but the good thing is that it does last for a decade.

Its really an easy process! I got mine in 2009 and just took the documents to my local post office. They helped me fill everything out, took my picture and sent it all in. I got my passport in less than two weeks

My facebook friend count has dropped from 488 to 485 in the last 2 to 3 weeks. Makes me suspicious of who is deactivating their account(s). I hate it when my friends do that.

Wow, temps were 90 in St louis a little while ago.
And in the 70's in Indianapolis.
It's only 43 in Monroe, MI right now.  :hammer:

At one point earlier there was almost a 25 degree difference in temperature and only about a 35-mile difference between locations near me.

Wow. What a difference the warm front makes. This will create a lot of severe weather tonight.

I am looking forward to the warm front tomorrow. It should be close to 80. Last week was mostly rainy and cold. This will be a welcome change

We might tie a record high tomorrow before the strong storms move in that night, the forecast is for mid 80's. The record is 85 set in 1969. I don't like to see 80's this early, I wanna enjoy more 60's and 70's weather for at least a month longer.

It's been warm and nice here in SD lately, unfortunately it is going to shower here sometime tomorrow or Tuesday, so my commute to school is basically ruined. >_<

Also, I apologize for my lack of activity here in the forums lately. Life as an independent student has been extremely busy, plus I'm also hanging out at other forums. I'll try to visit here at least once a day, because I miss y'all so much. Also, I haven't bothered even starting up IRC, because I got so bombarded with IMs from friends, (including one whom I call my "pair"). So, yeah. Excuse my lack of appearances. Hopefully when time permits, I'll be active once again. :)
