Eh, going up to 97° today per TWC, but they were close to yesterday's forecast of 100°. Wound up being 97°. And I have Outdoor PE today as our school gym is under renovations. <_<
Yay for air-conditioned PE at my school! :P But most of my other classes aren't.

Not necessarily... Renovations can take more than a few months... My sister and I remember when they built the extension on my high school back in the early 2000s to add a wing and two floors, including another cafeteria. They did that DURING the school year for a few years, completed in 2002 I think ;)

Yep, when I was in HS they added essentially two new wings and that disrupted things for a couple years.  And we had to move in on a Saturday.

Renovation is normal for some schools. During my sophomore year in high school, three of my classes were in portable classrooms because most of the buildings were getting a new look. Construction was done by the end of first semester and got to "move in" to the new classroom.

Our PE hall just took down their AC shortly after the gym went under construction. The freshman extention and the redone parts have AC.

so we're starting to wrap up the semester, and my first year in college...

what can I say? i've had such a good time, i'm definitely looking forward to next fall. i'll be taking summer courses back in San Antone (at San Antonio College) to get somewhat ahead.

so far, I have 3 A's and 2 B's...i'll take it =D

we're currently going through "dead week" which means nothing, basically. next week are finals, and soon followed by summer :)

They were renovating one of my school's cafeterias earlier this year, which severely limited the lunch selections. It sucked and lasted for the first three months of the school year.

My middle school had a new wing constructed which took about 2 years. Then the old part of the building was renovated. Everyone had to move the building over to the new wing over spring break in 8th grade. So the old part could be gutted. Got to enjoy a nice new school for a whole 3 months. lol

The only school renovations I could ever remember were at my elementary school (way back when :P ), and they were done completely inside the summer... big renovations though. That was back when I was going to Holt. I haven't seen any happen at Haslett.

The older part of my school (built in '75) was heavilly renovated in 2006-2007, with lockers replaced, fresh coat of paint, renovated bathrooms and science labs, and other stuff.

Wasn't there a renovation in 2002? Google Earth Historical shows your school MUCH smaller before then.

My school had a FEMA shelter added on two years ago (my 6th grade year). During construction, things were quite messy. :P So many false fire alarms. One day, we had 3 in less than one hour. Wonderful.

Additionally, the locker room for us was being remodeled over the summer before 7th grade and until January of my 7th grade year. It was all gutted out...it took forever to get it done. False fire alarms happened then, too. In the meantime, we changed out in the weightroom. It's very, VERY dusty in there. And it smells like rust.

And by the way, if you can't tell from this blog, I hate seeing kids on leashes.
