Love the first two shots overlooking the city Aaron
Thanks! Though, it's better in person :P
Thats what I hate about pics. If it looks good in a pic its probably 100x better in person haha.
I know, it is incredibly frustrating. You really have to be up on top of that parking garage. It truly is a spectacular 360 view of Lansing and the E.L.

Wow, I love that intersection picture!

* Mike M sets it as desktop background

Makes me think of the 2001-2003 Evening Edition graphics with the traffic backgrounds. :)
Hehe, thanks :P
That's actually the exact same thought that came to my mind when I first saw on the camera how those pics were coming out. I was wondering why the scene looked so familiar.

What type of camera did you use to take those pics Aaron?
I believe it's a Kodak M863 (just got it for Christmas), though I didn't save much of the packaging. It takes great pics, I just have to make sure to focus properly.

Hello from Hollywood, CA!  Right now I'm settling in at a Days Inn hotel, and unfortunatly they have Dish Network. :( so no IStar clips to record. Oh well, at least that's not why I'm here. I've relieved much of my stress on the road, and visiting my hometown earlier today brings back so many memories.  :itsok:. I'll pop back up tonight to surf the interwebz. Hollywood is incredible!

Edit: I just found out it was DirecTV, not Dish. The hotel receptionist lied. So, yeah I'm gonna get a recording.

They must be very sorry teams. :P
I'll MAKE you sorry if you call the Cards a sorry team! :club:
Haha jk. But DON'T diss the Cards in front of me. ;)
Cards suck.  (Cubs fan.)  I do appreciate going 20 yesterday - Cubs play the Mets for four starting Monday.

Fun fact about that game: the closer got the win, an outfielder got the loss, and a starter got the save.

That 20-inning Mets-Cardinals game last night was wacky, and those same two teams have to play again tonight. :P

So, I had the wildest day yesterday.

So this past weekend I went to San Antonio for one night to spend time with my sister, I stayed in her apartment in all and everything was fine. On sunday, I leave back to San Angelo and a horrible amount of luck struck me.

This isn't so much bad luck, but i might as well throw it in here...as my friend drove on I10 in Fredricksberg, we saw a man lying face down on the side of the road, it was unclear if he was died or what not but there were people stopping and checking out the scene...I was going to call 911 but i figured someone else probably called it in.

So we get to junction, all is well here - we stop to take a break, my buddy Drew was tired from the night before and asked me to take the wheel from Junction to San Angelo. Well, about an hour and 30 mins after I took over...i get pulled over by a trooper (not a cop, a trooper) for accidentally speeding 80 in a 70 -- my excuse? (i didn't tell the cop this, but it really was an accident) I had just came from I10 were the speed limit is 80 and simply forgotten that the speed limit had change despite the few signs posted. so, the trooper was douche, and a hick and overall racist. I took the ticket and left, the whole scene only took like a minute...no joke. he asked for my driver's license went back to the car wrote up the ticket, I signed and then left.

So from there on out, I constantly checked my speedometer like i should have been doing in the first place lol to ensure that I won't get pulled over again. We get to San Angelo, and I realize that I'm not wearing my graduation ring (it's my most valuable thing that means something to me and my goodluck charm), and freaked out because I don't remember leaving my sister's house with it, I call her up and she said she couldn't find it...from there I just gave it the "F*** it" attitude and proceeded to stay up until midnight to register for classes in the Fall. While staying up, I watched the Spurs vs. Mavs game which was not even a game at all, the referees made horrible calls and over all sucked at their jobs. I wasn't expecting Spurs to win, but at the same time I wasn't expecting them to lose to a cheating team.

anyway, after all is said and done, I go to bed at around 3am worried about my graduation ring...i eventually fall asleep and woke up at 8 this morning -- today has overall been a good day, and has gotten better. i called my sister back and she said she found my ring.  B)

things can only get better. haha

I apologize for intervening here, but anyone remember that crazy name to that Icelandic volcano? We were actually discussing it in Earth Science this morning. I thought I had an idea as to how to pronounce it, but I guess I was wrong :P
But anyhoodle (as a formal teacher from last year would say), here's a video that might help:

I'm not sure why I haven't posted this here, I already posted it on Molly's forum back in October. Back in 2006 I had an idea for my scripted story about what if one of my main characters ended up working for The Weather Channel because his boss bought out the network, ironically I wouldn't have imagined this would happen 2 years later..... So I guess this can considered fan fiction or maybe not since it came true. I wrote everything word from word off the top of my head which is very unusual because I write my rough drafts on notebook paper before typing them, but everything fell right into place so I skipped that process. Also somethings are dated for example, Kevin Robinson is in here because I typed this before his departure and I even poked fun at Bob Stokes. :P For those who read it, I hope you enjoy it!

OCMs featured in my story:
Jim Cantore
Alexandra Steele
Kevin Robinson
Mike Bettes (mentioned in name only; scene w/ dialog was cut)
Stephanie Abrams (same as Mike Bettes)
Nicole Mitchell
Paul Goodloe (mentioned in name only)
Heather Tesch (Has an interesting altercation w/ Nicole)
Bob Stokes (For sexual harassment references jokes)

Note: This is still my rough draft, I left out a small scene because the story was running long and I had to make cuts.

Try it again, I edited a revised attachment because I noticed some goof ups with the names at the end of the story.
