Yeah but like Stephen said, surge protection isn't a guarantee that your equipment won't get damaged. When you have the choiuce you should alwaysunplug rather than depend on surge protection/supression.

I've been on my computer during severe thunderstorms, and nothing ever happened. They have lightning arrestors
on the lines i think... THough you can never be too sure

No, I don't think there are lightning arrestors on the lines. If lightning hits the lines, you could have trouble.

Dan, your comments keep becoming less and less significant to me. Seems like you and Gil are always sure to be the first to pass criticism.

hmm im pretty sure all of the lines in our area have arrestors on them, usually they are on every 3 or 4 telephone poles, and then
right when the lines go underground.

Apparently, people in Gilville (with a population of only 1) expect it to be.
Make Gilville a population of two because the "2" in the favicon looks like a "Z" to me too.

Did you know that your supposed to unplug your computer during storms? Honestly, I never knew that :o
I've known that for years, but I never turn off my computer during storms.

That's nothing new. It's pretty clear you and Gil are on the same wavelength, so to speak.

Isn't Thunder like that, too? If so, make the population 3. ;)

I hope this new member does some activity here. It seems like a lot of people register, but don't bother to post anything. It's quite annoying.

Actually, I looked at the board stats, and most members have posted at least once. I'm satisified with that.

However, I do hope that this new member may have something to contribute. I am severely lacking contributions right about now, and haven't really had any substantial contributions in awhile.

Gilville does not exsist. But if it did, would I be the mayor? :o
