I say get the shot when it becomes available if you're that worried about it. You either have to worry about a few seconds of pain when you get the initial shot, or you have to deal with weeks if not months of pain caused by the flu.

Closing your eyes, taking deep breaths and "daydreaming" also helps when you're getting the injection.

Hope you feel better, Al.  I am not really that worried about the flu.  But, just to be on the safe side, I do carry around hand santizer and wash my hands constantly.  I definitely will not get a flu shot

Here, you have a choice in your vaccination: either as a shot or a nose spray. It's nice.

so, i hate saying that i'm sick...but i'm deathly ill. 

it seems like my allergies kicked everything off last week, add to that the stress from college work, and throw in some drama...it's practically an equation that'll only equal to sickness.

i plan on going to the clinic after my class which ends at 1 (FML), so maybe they'll just confirm its my allergies, but rumor has it that Dallas / Ft. Worth has been hit hard by the H1N1 virus, or so that's what a few of my friends have said (from there) anyway i have to head off to math, and hopefully feel better.

hope its just allergies. Mine went haywire today

I'll never get a flu shot. My dad said he won't either because when he was in the Marines and they made him have a flu shot and that was the only time he ever got the flu... Isn't it made so you DON'T get the flu not GIVE you the flu?

I don't worry about getting sick, I wash my hands when I go to the bathroom and wipe down my office desks and keyboard/mouse with Lysol wipes every week (mostly because I like it clean)

I have never gotten one before, but I decided that I will be getting a flu shot this year. Also, the campus health department will be offering free swine ful shots, and I will be getting one of those as well (already one confirmed case on campus).

Yeah, then next week I have a math midterm, then on the week of October 12, (when I return from Ensenada) I'm gonna have a full week of midterms for all my classes. I am sensing that October is going to be a busy month for me in terms of college.

It depends on the class you're taking and the professor you're having. Last semester my Basic Math class had 5 midterms in a semester. While other Basic Math classes have around 2-4 (and that was the Professor, not the class in general). This semester, my Political Science and Beg. Algebra classes have 5 midterms (according to their syllabi), each of them are separated every 3-4 weeks.

Uggh..don't even want to think about midterms right now.  I just started my first paper in my comp101 class tonight, and it reaks of bad , but it'll turn out good.  I have my first Geography exam on Tuesday, and I am SOO nervous about it. There is a lot of material to read over, and I have to memorize the map of  Europe..yikes.  I'm lovin college though   (minus the tests)
