The fire alarm just went off in my dorm. It was around 10:40 and I was sitting at my computer, and I hear this loud buzzing or something... I figure it is probably the fire alarm, so I leave my room and close the door. I meet everyone else outside, and some vans from the university come, and the police arrive. About 10 minutes later, we are allowed to come in. I go by my room to see the door hanging open, and there is a guy there waiting for me. He says the alarm was triggered in my room. So they had to reset the alarm in my room, then they had to replace the smoke detector. Apparently, the detector in my room had gone bad, so they gave me the old one after they installed the new one.
