Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong when I try to publish my videos in widescreen? I change the setting for the preview screen to 16:9 and I click on Windows Media DVD Widescreen or something like that and it produces an even more narrow screen than normal. Mike, I know you have obviously published a lot of your videos as of late in widescreen, can you tell me how to do it? It would be much appreciated! :D

Are you using Windows Movie Maker 2.6?

If so, what you need to do, is render the video as 856x480 pixels.

Yes, I am uing WMM 2.6. The problem seems to be rendering the video the way in which you speak.

You should only use it in Widescreen for TWC HD clips though. It looks awkward and messes up the frame rate for standard TWC SD clips. That's why I don't put my playlist clips in widescreen just for certain 'test' clips.

I just changed the setting to 16:9 like I said in a comment I made on YT awhile back. I, however, am using the XP version (I think that's 2.0).

That changes the preview screen on the right but does not affect any of my videos at all. What Zach is saying about the aspect ratio my clips happen to be published in must be what I am doing wrong, but I don't know how to fix it.

So how is everyone this afternoon? Well I hope. I'm doing a little better myself I think. I haven't ran a fever at all so far today, which would be the first time I've not run a fever for a whole day. I still feel a little achy from time to time, and I've got a nasty cough at times, but otherwise the most severe symptoms seem to have passed. I know one thing, I wouldn't wish this on anyone, even my worst enemy. I decided to see a doctor this morning just to make sure there wasn't something serious going on that I didn't know about, and everything checked out fine. She said my lungs were clear, my breathing was fine, my blood pressure was fine, my ears were fine, my throat was fine, and my nose was fine except she said she could see some drainage goiing down into my throat. She felt my neck and asked if anything was tender and nothing was. So I'm a little more at ease now knowing that nothing more is wrong than what I thought.

Gonna give my desktop PC a 'bath' Monday when my memory sticks come in...got a can of compressed air to give it a good cleaning.

Also picked up today a wireless printing server...noticed it's difficult to print from netbook/laptop when it's hooked up behind the tower.

Gosh, the same person (TWCFreak) comments on all of my emulator videos asking for a key to Microsoft Office, and when I tell him "no, it's illegal", he doesn't believe me. :hammer:
