Errors like that just confirm why I hate HiRAD so much.
That may not necessarily be an error. You know, situations like that DO actually happen.

I've seen situations like that. Clearwater, FL can be at 91 degrees, while Clearwater Beach, FL can be 83 degrees.
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

No, it is not possible here. Detroit was the same temperature as Lansing at the time I snapped that photo, so compare distances like that. Don't get me started on HiRAD lol  :whistling:

It's not impossible. It's possible that clouds could've developed over that area (that weren't over your area) and thus resulting in a cooler temperature.

Very true, cloud cover over a small or large area can make for wide temperature differences.

You should probably do some simple research before jumping to conclusions. It actually was mostly cloudy and 95 at the time of that report. :whistling:

Oh snap!

We had an outflow thing earlier today. It dropped from 96 degrees to 86 degrees in an hour, while the next town over was reporting 96 degrees.

We had some pop-up thunderstorms here yesterday, and it dropped the temperature from 100 to 79 in just a matter of minutes.

We had something like that in 2007. It was 92 at the shore, then a strong severe thunderstorm came by and dropped the temp to 68 in 10 minutes.

Well, its day 3 of being sick. Even though I've felt downright miserable from time to time today (my fever hit 102.4 at one point today), I think overall today has been a bit better than the last two. It seemed like anytime my symptoms flared up and I took an aspirin the aspirin seemed to work quicker, and it took longer for the symptoms to return. But when they did return they did it with a vengeance. I've been spending most of this evening/night sweating terribly (to the point where I'm soaking my clothes and the sofa). I'm hoping that's a sign that this bug is starting to wind down a bit.  B)

Tyler, how many times do I have to tell you that I was checking the current observation (legitiment ob out of Gerald R Ford Int'l in Grand Rapids instead of unnecessary guess from HiRAD) several times. There was no thunderstorm activity in the vicinity of either location and according to HiRAD, there was actually less cloud cover in Ionia than in Grand Rapids. A 9 degree temperature spread in an area where population density declines are gradual is not justified.

Gary, I really do hope you get better soon. This does not sound fun for you at all

So, YouTube apparently is changing their channels to their new layout on July 15. I thought they scratched that idea, because I saw lots of negative comments about it. I thought the purpose of keeping sites popular is to satisfy their viewers? This obviously isn't the way to go. Just look at all of the negative comments on this video:

There's a yellow pop up box on my channel saying the change will come soon, I have mixed feeling on it, I don't like it or dislike it.

I dispise the new channels. I hope they implement a feature to remove that top part with the big YouTube player, it slows down my laptop.
