It went up to 86° here today! Normally we'd be around 63°, but it's still nowhere as hot as around this time in 2002, when we had a 3-day heat wave in the low-mid 90's. I remember that heat wave distinctly.

Everyday day in July 2006 in my area, either reached 90 degrees or above. We also got severe t-storms every saturday

Yeah, 2006 was a hot summer. Some cities in the area, including Reading, reached as high as 103°!

I remember Jluy 17th in particular. It was 104 and we got a derecho in our area.

104° at the shore? That's hotter then what we got in greater Philadelphia! IIRC, Mount Holly went up to 99° both 7/17 and 7/18. Later on in late July/early August 2006, I think we went up to 100°.
