I think it has to do with the RAM. depending on the speed of the RAM, determines how fast your processor really is or something. Check the computer properties in Windows, it makes more sense when you see it.

RAM has nothing to do with it.

To make this simple since no one is intelligent enough to grasp it: in a computer, no two parts effect one another. Each operates independently. No one part can or does effect the speed, effectiveness, or efficiency of any other part in the machine.

Really. When i changed the RAM in one of my computers to one of a different speed, windows stated that the processor speed has changed. Must be just another "quirk" of MS's shitty software.

I suppose, because the two have no connection whatsoever.

Most likely. I didn't have this problem when I upgraded this Mac's RAM, but I'm considering upgrading my PC's ram soon so we'll see what happens to that.

Figures. What a surprise that something created by MS would do something like that. Precisely why I use Macintosh.

Its funny, because Vista really hurt the PC market badly. Craploads of people have been switching to Mac over it.

You know, I think your wrong Gil. MS has nothing to do with your computers start up processes. Windows does not control any of that. Your motherboard's built in software takes care of those things. I don't think MS can be blamed.

I've never experienced anything like that, so I have no reason to believe you would Mike.

But thats kinda weird. Why would my motherboard think the RAM has an affect on the processor. It just seems like a software thing, but I'm not good with PC's anymore. I'm confused.

For the love of god!

So my work schedule is pretty messed up.. I work from 2:30PM until 11:00PM Monday - Thursday which means I have Friday, Saturday and Sunday off...

As many of you know I work at a local TV station, so right now I am sitting at home watching the channel and they have a daily show called "daytime" on right now, and this show is shot on a 3 stage set which I will be using for one of my shows tonight.

They are currently doing a cooking segment and as the segment opens Derick the co-host is being cool tossing around a knife, and then he takes the string thats attached to the end of the knife and starts spinning it around, the string snaps and the knife flys across the set in to the sports set (where I will be shooting tonight) and lands right in a giant hockey puck prop... For the love of god!

I was thinking the same thing. A lot of other districts around here had their spring break last week.
