We're having a pretty big thunderstorm move through at the moment. The power even went out for a second.

Yeah there's a pretty big storm moving through here too. We haven't lost power, but we've had some monstrous claps of thunder!  :ph34r:

Yep I  knew that. And I do it, when it gets bad enough that I think it needs to be done.

Yeah, you're supposed to, but I only do it when it's really bad, which doesn't occur very often (in fact, the last really bad one was back in 03 or 04, it actually hailed, too), or it just misses us. Surge protectors help, but they do not completely stop a surge.
