Tomorrow begins the month of May, and it's also the time to wish everyone in college around here good luck with final exams ahead in the next week or two. ;)

No final exams in my class, just a "make up day" on the last day which isn't really needed for me since i'm pretty much caught up.

I thought this was interesting for TWC to mention my hometown during WUWA. What surprised me more is we now have a commercial geared towards tourism..I don't think we ever had a TV commercial promoting our city

My latest strange dream, which is why I'm awake at 3:30 in the morning...

I drove to the grocery store (I often drive in my dreams), but just as soon as I got out of the car I heard a tornado warning, so I jumped back into the car. By that time, though, there were two women and their kids in my car, and they insisted that I take them shopping and then home. During the ride their kids were beating me up from behind and the women were complaining about absolutely everything.

After a long and excrutiating ride I finally got the idea to call 911 and then pull into the parking lot of the nearest police station (the parking lot, for some reason, looked like the inside of a fancy hotel lobby). The police officers were my Kmart coworkers and characters from "The Office."

I'm glad my wisdom teeth removal went off without a hitch yesterday. I only got two removed (top ends) instead of four. The other two were on the bottom ends where the roots were right along the nerves. I must be one of the fortunate ones because the little pain I did have afterwards felt more like soreness and once I started taking my medication I haven't felt ANY pain since! I wouldn't even know I had oral surgery right now.

The downside which is one of the side effects is I have felt a little nauseous from time to time. Oddly, I threw up water this morning. My diet this weekend looks like it's going to consist of Milkshakes, Pudding, Jello, Soup, Grits, and anything else that doesn't evolve much chewing.

You may think I was lucky, but I only had one wisdom tooth.  Thus, I just had laughing gas to help me during the removal of it and never needed actual surgery.  I hope you feel better soon, Tavores.

Lamentablemente, no. Domingos suelen ser sedados para mí, y el Cinco de Mayo es todo lo contrario.

(Sadly, no. Sundays are usually sedated for me, and Cinco de Mayo is anything but.)

Cinco de Mayo meant more when I was in high school as some students and teachers would volunteer at a local Mexican restaurant that celebrated the holiday with cash drawings, car washes, free food and refreshments, and some games.

Thank you for the well wishes, I appreciate it. I'm gradually getting back to normal. My gums/jaw are still a little sore and the thought of food still makes me feel sickish so I hope that changes over the next couple of days. I would like to have some sort of an appetite back again soon.

:hmm:  Oh, my, I'm sorry you had to go through that, Tavores.  When I had that done, it pretty well knocked me out for a few days.  I hope you're able to eat what you want today.

I was able to buildup enough of an appetite to eat more solid foods today without feeling nauseous afterwards. Today is the first day in 3 days I haven't felt that way all day. :)

You should be back to full strength in appetite and energy by the end of this week.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled a few years back, and I remember crushing my painkillers and then mixing them with yogurt and other non-chewable foods (of course, when it was time to take my pills.) I cannot swallow whole pills
