Back from my day-trip to the beach yesterday, and must I say, we went everywhere and I still could not sleep, after getting only 4hrs of the night before and walking near 5mi the whole day.
First, I wake at 5am and leave at 6am for the 2hr trip down. We get to a gas station and get some lotto tickets and win $12 (yay!). Afterwards, we go to Laguna Beach (unincorperated community mainly patrolled and governed by Panama City Beach) and get out on the beach for about 2hrs. Beautiful water in one spot, nasty water 5ft away! Odd! The sand was so high up, I could go so far out and it not even be up to my knees when it is usually up to my neck! I had a WONDERFUL time considering the water was about 60-70 degrees and the air temperature was near 100. Terrible had we not been in the water. And then, guess what?
Time to leave the beach. Time to go to Pier Park, I go to the butterfly pavilion and get about 50 pics. Too hot, so I leave. We move on to walk down several strips of Pier Park, then back to the car and to eat. Margaritaville. 30-45 minute wait. Off to Panama Pizzeria! 4hrs and a reunion of a friend we haven't seen in 10yrs. He stayed on the air during (Dennis?) for 36hrs straight (radio-DJ) and had many national stations call him for syndicated updates, since he was the only person still down there during the storm.
We leave afterwards to go to the Pink Pelican Ice Cream Bar and get my usual Cotton Candy ice cream (YUM). Staying for 30min, we move on to the Sunsations to get a baby sea-turtle. The little foreign
said that we had to pay $20 for a tiny cage or she could give it to us in our hand. We storm out. Our attempt to find turtles fail. Moving on!
To the... ah, hell, I don't remember. I just know I had a wonderful time. Here is a special thank you to my mom for taking me down before school starts.
