I'm now back in Blacksburg after my vacation with my dad. :wave:  I ran into a severe thunderstorm as I drove to WV on Friday.  The winds knocked a few tree limbs down, and my dad had finished cleaning up some debris in his backyard when I arrived.  It was up to 107°F on my car thermometer before the storm, and it dropped to 74°F during the storm.

Welcome back, Patrick! :) That's some crazy weather, I tell you what.

Today, I could've sworn lightning hit my house. Things were quieting down, and I just woke up from my nap when I heard the loudest bang of my life that sounded like a bomb or gunshot. I couldn't see any place where the lightning hit, but my neighbors were talking about how loud it was when I walked around after.

Well, time for another vacation. I'll be gone for a couple of weeks while I visit my grandparents lake house in southwest Michigan. This should (hopefully) be a good place to escape the 100+ heat. See you all when I return. :wave:

I would sure hate to live in Dallas. I couldn't stand the day after day triple digit heat with no relief from rain and thunderstorms.

Have fun in Michigan! Maybe you'll see an XL if you're lucky.

On the contrary, I would actually love to live in Dallas. So many things to do, so many major league sports, Dirk Nowitzki, and the nice weather that would come...eventually. But I would hate living there in the summer, too. It's warmer at night than near the Gulf of Mexico, and it is surprisingly humid there too.

South West Michigan doesn't have any XLs iirc :P Northern MI had tons! Theres also a 4000 up north, and a 4000 somewhere around Port Huron (May have been removed, but I believe it's still running).

And I just arrived back home form a 2 day college orientation session up in NoJo'. And that's cool, Zach, that you met Martin! Sorry, for myself for not getting a chance to meet up with ya martin...that's the problem though when you have family coming along with you :(
