I'm definitely a summer person, and I love the long days. Spring and summer are just so lively while fall and winter are symbols of death and sleep. Maybe I have Seasonal Affective Disorder...

Haha, I am so with you on that, I think I have "S.A.D." too...
I also have "S.A.D." too.  :bleh:

It's amazing how powerful natural sunlight can be on our emotions and well-being.  Lacking that light is really what's the primary contributor to any seasonal disorder.  For those of you who really struggle with it, try planning special hobbies or interests that you can do during winter time or any dark and gloomy day.

The summer solstice will arrive on June 21 at 1:16 PM EDT, so the first day of summer is officially tomorrow. B)
I can already hear some of you thinking, "What are you talking about?  It's already been feeling like summer for weeks!" :P

Yes, especially with triple-digits for the past week.

For me it's not really the lack of sunlight, but the lack of warmth. Cold is just so uncomfortable, and even in south Louisiana it just seems to last for so long. I like a gray, cloudy Christmas. After that, though, I am ready to kiss winter goodbye. January and February are awful for me. I will take your advice, Patrick, and try to take up some special hobbies during that time of year.

Oh God.. I so remember the time that I got depressed because of the lack of sunlight. It was during the CA Storm Parade on the week of January 18-22 of last year, when it rained so much in EC. Here in SD, it's been cloudy for most of the days, and it's starting to take a toll on me.

Aw, why not? Aren't the first and last days usually the best? Well, I guess not at my school, as they had finals on the last day. I like saying be to everyone, though.

Yesterday I went to the orthodontist and found out that I am developing underbite. I have to get braces to try to correct it without surgery. I have to keep them on for 2 years, and then I have to get my wisdom teeth removed.

12 years old - braces on
14 years old - braces off
15 years old - wisdom teeth extraction

Wow, it's gonna be a rough coulple of years :\

They do hurt when you first get them on, but trust me, in a few days, you wont even notice that you have them. I've been on and off with braces since 2006, due to an overbite and large spaces between my teeth. So I've pretty much gotten used to them. In fact, I just got my braces off last Wednesday. Trust me, braces really are worth it. My teeth are straight with no spaces, and I no longer have an overbite.

I have an overbite and have been needing braces since 2004, but I've refused to wear them over the years and now it's probably too late to get them corrected without getting several surgeries done, according to my last visit to an orthodontist last October. :hmm:

Wisdom teeth surgery isn't bad; I know because I just got it. Braces will be more annoying, but they are totally worth it.

I am developing an under bite again, but my teeth still look pretty straight. What's the big deal with an under bite anyway? As long as it's not horrid, I don't why it's that bad. Wait, or is that overbite? Ugh. I have the one that means your top teeth are farther forward than your bottom teeth.

I think that's an overbite Christina, but I'm not too sure either.
