Well, the desktop issue has been resolved. It turns out that the motherboard was not the issue. The expansion bay/drive that HP builds into the computer (located immediately below the DVD drive) was what was causing the issue. It was disconnected and the computer was able to be rebooted.

Wow, Suddenlink sucks, this is my schools internet speed <_< My speed at home is about 6.5 down .5 up (should be about 8 or 12 in totall bandwith)

So Labor Day is almost here, and I know some of us are wanting to spend the "last weekend of Summer". So, any plans?

Mine are just plain and simple. I'm a college football dork; I'm gonna watch (hopefully) every college football game this weekend (especially Florida-Charleston Southern). And on Monday, I'm hoping to visit Sunbeam Lake, which is an "oasis" in the Imperial Valley. I have been there two times already and it's pretty awesome.  :happy:

My family will visit me this Labor Day weekend.  We plan to eat out and enjoy our time together, and I need a break after stressing out about my future and the job search over the past few couple weeks.  I hope everyone has a good Labor Day weekend! B)

second weekend in college: promises to be oh so great.  :P

tomorrow, I have classes until 150, in which afterwards...3 DAY WEEKEND BABY.


sorry, haha. anywho I plan on going to grahams tomorrow night with a few of my friends (college night! wahoo); then we plan on going to the lake house on monday (our day off), the days inbetween have yet to be decided -- we may go to san antonio! haha i don't know yet.

also, I originally planned on going to sherman, tx for this weekend, but seeing some ppl ticked me off last week I decided to just stay with my real friends and have a good time with them =].

relationships seem to be flying about, it's kinda crazy. lol but i definitely want a whiff of that atmospheric love at ASU  B), this year is promising to be fun.

If it's really only one day out of warranty I'd try to get it fixed anyway, sometimes the nicer companies will take care of you. Unless you are talking about it being one day out of an extended warranty through a third party (e.g. Geek Squad Black Tie Protection) but if it's through the manufacturer then I bet you have a good chance of getting it fixed.

I got the warranty through HP, one of their support personal told me they will not do anything about it.
I think I might get a MacBook to replace it. :D

If you stand firm and talk with a nice CSR, you might be able to convince them for service even if it's one day after warranty. But yeah, I'm with Martin. What's wrong?
